LUCKNOW:People can expect some sunny days in most parts of Uttar Pradesh from Thursday, after moderate to heavy rains of the past three days, a weather official said. Rainfall activity will decline from Thursday, said the official. "The moisture feed from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea responsible for the intensity of rains is fading away. Moreover, the upper air cyclonic circulation over parts of Uttar Pradesh is also losing intensity," state Met director J.P. Gupta told reporters here. "Taking into account the present weather conditions, there will be a decline in rainfall activity, and people can expect bright sunshine. Such conditions are likely to prevail for at least next 48 hours," he added. The minimum temperature in Lucknow Thursday was 25.2 degrees Celsius, which was one degree below average.
